Overview
The Student Hotel, known across Europe as a lively place for students, travellers and creatives, evolved into a broader concept: The Social Hub. Studio Dumbar/DEPT® developed a new brand identity to reflect this shift, Fort Studio was involved with the roll-out across touch points. The Social Hub represents a new model of hybrid hospitality, combining hotel stays, student accommodation, co-working spaces, gyms, restaurants and cultural events under one roof. With hotels across the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France, Austria and Spain — and further expansion ahead — the brand needed an identity that could connect a much wider audience while remaining rooted in its student-driven spirit. FORT Studio collaborated with The Social Hub’s in-house design team during the rollout of the new brand identity, translating the visual system across a wide range of applications and environments. The Idea
The new name reflects what the spaces have always been about: connection. Each location functions as a social ecosystem where people come to stay, work, learn and meet. The visual identity captures this energy with a bold, flexible design language that works across both physical and digital environments. FORT Studio helped bring this identity to life across an extensive network of touchpoints. From printed materials and digital assets to interior graphics, signage and spatial branding within the hotels. The result is a cohesive yet dynamic brand experience — one that turns every location into a hub for creativity, collaboration and community.
